Google Play Pre-Publish Readiness Checklist

Use this before a new production submission or an important update. If Play Console shows a warning, rejection or declaration mismatch, send the exact notice for a focused assessment.

Confirm the app opens reliably and core user flows work on a clean installation.
Review package name, version code, version name and signing configuration before upload.
Check that app title, short description, full description, screenshots and graphics match the real app experience.
Review every permission and SDK: keep only what the app genuinely needs.
Confirm your privacy policy and user-data disclosures accurately describe actual app behavior.
Complete relevant Play Console declarations using current project behavior—not assumptions or copied answers.
Provide reviewer access or test credentials when parts of the app require sign-in.
Check links such as privacy policy, support, account deletion or website URLs from an incognito browser.
Test billing, subscriptions or monetization flows only where applicable and permitted.
Review current target API, compatibility and technical requirements shown in Play Console.
Run a final release build test using the same artifact/signing path you plan to submit.
Keep a dated record of the release, declarations and major SDK versions used.

How to use this checklist

Work through each item using your current project and Play Console information. If an item does not apply, document why. Keep screenshots or notes for important decisions so you can trace what changed if a review issue appears later.

Note: Google Play requirements can change. This checklist is a preparation aid, not a substitute for the current Play Console instructions or official policy documentation shown for your account and app.
